Glenburn Rec 3/4 Boys Hoop tournament tipped off Saturday morning

GLENBURN – The Glenburn Recreation is running its third basketball tournament of the year March 5th and 6th, for the third and fourth grade boys.  All games are at Glenburn Elementary School on the Hudson Rd.

Ford sparks Holbrook to win over Brewer 7/8 A girls

The Holbrook 7/8 A girls battled back from a 3-point half time deficit to pull out a 36-34 win over the host team Brewer on Sunday morning at Brewer High School in an Eastern Maine Basketball League travel contest.

Brewer 5/6B girls cruise past Holbrook in EMBBL action

BREWER - Sunday morning at Brewer High School, the Brewer 5/6B girls showed their dominance over the Holbrook Red Devils as they cruised to a 57-15 win in an Eastern Maine Basketball League travel game.

Holbrook 7/8A girls second half push leads to win over Hermon

HERMON - The Holbrook 7/8A girls took just a one point lead (16-15) into the second half, but stretched that lead out to a 26-22 second half score to come away with a 42-37 victory over the Hermon Hawks in an opening season game of the Eastern Maine Basketball League at Hermon Middle School on Sunday afternoon.

Glenburn upsets No. 1 Holbrook for EMBL semifinal victory

GLENBURN - For the second time in two weeks, the No. 5 Glenburn Chargers picked up a victory over a higher seed team (defeated No. 4 Brewer on January 18) to earn the right to head to Championship Saturday after a 44-37 win over No. 1 Holbrook in the Eastern Maine Basketball League 5/6B girls semifinal game.

Nadeau, Czapiga spark Holbrook to PVML "A" Division Championship

HAMPDEN - Tuesday night at The Stable inside Hampden Academy, Evan Nadeau and Andy Czapiga each scored in double digits to help spark the Red Devils to a 50-41 victory over the Orono Red Riots to claim the 2018-19 Penobscot Valley Middle League boys "A" Division Championship.

Old Town Rec claims Glenburn Rec 5/6 Girls tourney championship

GLENBURN - After rolling through the competition during pool play on Saturday and again Sunday morning, the Old Town Rec girls finished the 5/6 girls tournament with a perfect 5-0 record and the tournament championship.

Reardon sparks Red Devils to boys championship win

GLENBURN - Ashton Reardon scored eight points in the fourth quarter as the No. 1 Holbrook boys expanded a 2-point third quarter lead into a six point margin of victory with a 43-37 win over No. 2 Glenburn to claim the Penobscot Valley Middle League B Division Championship.

Big second half gives Holbrook girls PVML B Division Championship

GLENBURN - Friday afternoon at the Glenburn School, Makayla Dore, Jammie Satterfield, and Lillian Higgins each scored 10 points to help lead the Holbrook Red Devils to a 43-28 come from behind win over the Glenburn Chargers in the Penobscot Valley Middle League girls B Division championship game.
