Hermon 3/4 boys hold off tough Caribou team for Glenburn Rec Championship

GLENBURN - Sunday afternoon at the Glenburn School, an undefeated Caribou team squared off to face Hermon who's only loss (3-1) came earlier in the morning to Caribou in overtime. The second time around was sweeter for the Jr. Hawks as they held off a tough Caribou team to come away with a 41-35 victory in the Glenburn Rec 3rd-4th grade boys basketball tournament.

3/4 boys basketball closes out the 2020 Glenburn Rec tournaments

GLENBURN - The long four weekends of tournament basketball hosted by the Glenburn Rec began it's final tourney on Saturday as eight 3/4 boys teams took to the hardwood to begin the pool play. Participating teams include host team Glenburn, Foxcroft, Lincoln, Caribou, Ellsworth (DEFY), Hermon, and two teams from Gardiner.

Gardiner 5/6 boys capture Glenburn Rec Championship

GLENBURN - Over the course of the past weekend, the Gardiner Tigers seemed to breeze through their pool play games and dominated in their semifinal game with a 52-21 victory over Lawrence. Not much changed as the Tigers took on Hampden, who dominated Glenburn in the semifinal game with a 43-25 victory, in the Championship game as they rode a big third quarter to a 35-19 win to claim the 2020 Glenburn Rec 5th-6th grade boys basketball tournament on Sunday.

Hampden and Glenburn 5/6 boys enjoy half time surprise

GLENBURN - Saturday night Hampden Academy's Bryce Lausier scored 23 points to help lead his Broncos team to the Class A State Championship victory in Portland. On Sunday afternoon, Lausier, who spent his middle school years in Glenburn, made an appearance at the gymnasium he crafted his talent in during the half time of a Glenburn vs Hampden 5th/6th grade boys tournament game.

Brewer Travel Basketball Club 7th-8th Grade Boys and Girls tournament

BREWER – The Brewer Travel Club is hosting the 7th-8th-grade boys and girls basketball tournament this weekend with the final games including boys and girls championships Sunday.

Glenburn Rec's boys tournaments open with 5/6 tourney

GLENBURN - Saturday morning at the Glenburn School, the Glenburn Rec opened their next to lat tournament weekend with the 5th/6th grade boys hitting the hard wood! The 3rd/4th grade boys will be on tap for March 7-8, but on Saturday teams of 5th and 6th graders from Lawrence, Brewer, Gardiner, Lincoln, Orono, Hampden (2 teams) and host team Glenburn began the competition to decide the 2020 boys 5/6 Champion.
