Pierce Walston leads Orono middle school boys to victory over Glenburn

GLENBURN - Orono's Pierce Walston scored a game high 21 points to lead the Orono Red Riots boys middle school A team to a 58-35 victory over the Glenburn Chargers at the Glenburn School on Tuesday night.

Campbell sparks Glenburn girls to rout of Orono

GLENBURN - Tuesday afternoon at the Glenburn School, Sadie Campbell scored 12 of her game high 14 points in the first quarter to lead the Chargers to a 16-2 period  on their way to a 52-18 victory over the Red Riots in a middle school A team match up.

Old Town Y squeezes out semifinal win over Hermon in overtime

GLENBURN - Sunday afternoon at the Glenburn School, the No. 3 Old Town Y overcame a two point deficit with eight seconds remaining in regulation to force the game into overtime. Old Town then out scored No. 2 Hermon 7-5 in the overtime period to come away with a 50-48 win in the Eastern Maine Basketball League 5/6A girls semifinal game.

Orrington girls cruise to victory over Chargers

GLENBURN - Thursday night at the Glenburn Community School, the Center Drive School of Orrington girls B Team cruised to a 26-15 victory over the Glenburn Chargers.

Curry, Gallop lead Hermon 5/6A girls to quarterfinal win over Coastal Thunder

Gallup leads Hermon 5/6A girls to victory over Broncos

HERMON - Sunday morning at the Hermon Middle School, Brooke Gallup topped all scorers to lead the Hermon Hawks 5/6A girls to a 32-21 win over Hampden in their respective final regular season Eastern Maine Basketball League travel game heading into the playoff rounds. Hermon finished the regular season ranked No. 2 with an 8-2 record, while Hampden finished the regular season at 1-9 ranked No. 8.
