Hills scores six TD's as Hermon 5/6 Gold runs past Newport

HERMON - Earlier in the season, the Hermon 5th/6th grade Gold football team played Newport to a 0-0 score through three quarters. In the fourth quarter, Newport found the end zone with under three minutes to play and won the game 8-0. Fast forward to Sunday afternoon, and Hermon was a different team. Led by Kobe Hills with six touchdowns, the Hawks romped to a 50-22 win in what was called by more than one coach "our best game of the season."

Hermon 3rd/4th grade football blanks Brewer

HERMON - It was another team effort for the Hermon 3rd/4th grade Gold football team on Saturday, as six different players scored in the Hawks 47-0 win over the Brewer Witches at the Hermon Recreation field on Saturday afternoon.

Bangor field hockey advances in playoffs with win over Lewiston


BANGOR – The #8 Bangor field hockey team fought off a determined #9 Lewiston squad Saturday afternoon, under clear skies and sunshine, with a 3-2 win to advance in the Maine Principals’ Association 2019 Maine High School Field Hockey tournament.

Coyotes field hockey blanks Orono

ORONO - Senior Recognition Day did not go quite as planned for the Orono Red Riots on Monday afternoon, as the Old Town Coyotes played a dominating game en route to a 4-0 victory at Orono High School. Orono celebrated and recognized seniors Krista Bass, Katherine Bettens, and Laura Daumerie.

In Battle of Rams; Cony comes out on top over Bangor on Senior day

BANGOR – The Bangor High School field hockey team hosted Cony of Augusta today in its fourth consecutive home game. Unfortunately for the Bangor girls today was like the past three, all losses, as the Rams of Cony took home a 5-1 win over the Rams of Bangor.

Wiles leads Lady Chargers to win over Bangor Christian

GLENURN - Tuesday afternoon at the Glenburn School, Lucy Wiles scored four goals to lead the Lady Chargers to a 5-1 victory over the Bangor Christian Patriots in the final game of the season for the two middle school teams.

Hermon continues win streak with victory over Nokomis

HERMON - Saturday afternoon at Hermon High School, the Hermon Hawks continued their on going win streak as they remained undefeated cruising to a 4-0 victory over the Nokomis Warriors of Newport in girls varsity soccer action.

Hampden Academy downs Lewiston on the pitch 1-0

HAMPDEN – The Hampden Academy girls soccer team came through a lot to capture a 1-0 win over visiting Lewiston Saturday afternoon.

Brewer football falls in tough matchup with Falmouth/Greely

BREWER – The Brewer football team played good football Friday night, however, the boys from Falmouth/Greely high schools played just seven minutes better in the fourth quarter to capture a gut-wrenching 24-17 win at Doyle Field.

Hermon wins middle school field hockey "B" game

GLENBURN - The Hermon Hawks, after losing 6-0 in the "A" game, picked up a victory in the "B" game with a 2-1 final score over the Glenburn Chargers.

Hampden girls use first half to power past Brewer

Chargers remain undefeated in middle school field hockey

GLENBURN - The Glenburn Chargers middle school field hockey team continued to dominate their opponents, as they cruised to a 6-0 victory over the Hermon Hawks in a middle school field hockey "A" game on Thursday afternoon. With the win, Glenburn improved to 8-0 on the season.
