Red Riots fall to GSA, defeat Searsport in boys summer basketball

ORONO - Wednesday night at Orono High School, the Orono Red Riots played the final two high school summer basketball games of the evening falling to George Stevens Academy 64-52 in the first game and they defeated Searsport 50-46 in the night's finale.

Oceanside Little League to host complete District 2 Little League playoffs

ROCKLAND – The Oceanside Little League has released the exhibition and playoff schedule of the District 2 playoffs. This year all the games will be played at the fields in Rockland, Gordon and George Hall and at the Thomaston field.

WS Emerson holds off late Dysarts rally for Bronco LL championship

HAMPDEN - Nick Bates and Collin Peckham both slugged home runs to help guide No. 2 ranked W.S. Emerson to an 8-7 victory over No. 1 seeded Dysarts for the Bronco Little League Majors championship on Wednesday night at the VFW Field in Hampden.

WS Emerson gets semifinal walk off win

HAMPDEN - Trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth inning, No. 2 seed W.S. Emerson picked up a walk off 5-4 win over No. 3 seed Anglers in a Bronco Little League Majors baseball semifinal playoff game at the VFW field in Hampden Saturday afternoon.

With the win, Emerson improves to 12-2 on the season while Anglers concludes their season at 9-7.

Anglers gain quarterfinal victory in Bronco Little League Baseball playoffs

HAMPDEN - Tuesday evening at the VFW Field in Hampden, the Anglers and Wellman Paving teams scored a combined 34 runs as Anglers picked up the Mercy Rule win with a 22-12 score in five innings.

No. 3 Anglers improves to 9-6 on the season with the win, while No. 6 Wellman Paving concludes their season with a 2-13 record.

Oceanside baseball falls in heartbreaker 1-0 to MDI

MOUNT DESERT ISLAND – The No. 11 Oceanside baseball squad traveled to the island Monday for a Class B North prelim matchup with No. 6 MDI and had their season cut short falling 1-0 despite an outstanding pitching performance from Logan Sheridan and Jack Freeman.

St. George eliminates Camden-Rockport 8th grade baseball
