Hermon edges Glenburn in Middle School field hockey

GLENBURN - In Glenburn on Tuesday afternoon, the Hermon Hawks pulled out a 3-2 victory over the Glenburn Chargers in Middle School field hockey action.

Blackie hat trick leads Coyotes to field hockey OT win

OLD TOWN - Sophomore Teagan Blackie scored all three goals for the Old Town field hockey team on Tuesday afternoon, as the Coyotes knocked off the Hermon Hawks 3-2 in overtime at Old Town High School.

Hermon scored the first goal of the game when Brooklyn Brown found the back of the box with 21:58 remaining in the first half. The Hawks held that 1-0 lead for the next 16 minutes before Blackie tied the game at 1-1 with 5:41 to play in the half. Just over three minutes later, Blackie handed the Coyotes the 2-1 lead  they would take into half time with her second score of the game.

Lightning strikes cause postponement to Hermon vs John Bapst football

HERMON - On the night of week two the 2017 high school football season, numerous lightning strikes became the story in the end. Before the opening kickoff, the first of numerous lightning strikes came at approximately 6:45 p.m. With each flash of lightning, comes a 30 minute delay. Following numerous 30 minute delays, the game was able to get started at approximately 8:10 p.m.
