The Yachtsmen marched down the field late in the first quarter but had to settle for a Sam Pausman field goal at 3:44 for a 3-0 lead.

Brewer bounced back in the second quarter at 7:47 when Anthony Chiappone nailed a 35-yard field goal to tie the score at 3-3.  FG came right back down the field with a 43-yard pass reception and run from quarterback Nick Mancini to Max Orestis who scampered down the sideline untouched. The extra point from Pausman was good to give the Yachtsmen a 10-3 lead at 6:10 in the second quarter.

With 5:06 left in the first half Brewers' Kaleb Bryant broke around the right end from seven-yards out to find the endzone. The point after was good and the Witches had a 10-10 tie on their hands. Falmouth scored once again before the end of the half to give them a 17-10 lead at the break.

At the 2:05 mark in the third quarter, Brewer recovered the ball in the endzone for a touchback and marched 80 yards down the field capped by an outstanding catch by Joshua Seymour in the endzone where he managed to keep his feet inbounds as he was hit on the catch. The extra point was good from Chiappone and the score was tied at 17-17.

In the fourth quarter, the Yachtsmen got the ball on the 25-yard line and ran the ball over seven minutes down the field 75-yards for the game-winning touchdown from Allen with just 0:38 left on the clock. The Witches got the ball back and took a couple of plays before time expired but were unable to get the touchdown back it needed.

A tough game played well by both teams on both sides of the ball.

Brewer falls to 1-4 with the loss and will travel to Lawrence of Fairfield Friday, Oct. 11 for their next game. Falmouth/Greely goes to 3-2 with the win and will host Brunswick next Friday at 7 p.m.
