Glenburn Rec's boys tournaments open with 5/6 tourney

GLENBURN - Saturday morning at the Glenburn School, the Glenburn Rec opened their next to lat tournament weekend with the 5th/6th grade boys hitting the hard wood! The 3rd/4th grade boys will be on tap for March 7-8, but on Saturday teams of 5th and 6th graders from Lawrence, Brewer, Gardiner, Lincoln, Orono, Hampden (2 teams) and host team Glenburn began the competition to decide the 2020 boys 5/6 Champion.

During the first five games of pool play, winners included Hampden A, Gardiner, Lawrence, Gardiner again, and the host team Glenburn.

Hampden A defeated Orono 52-27, Gardiner knocked off Hampden A 33-19, Lawrence defeated the Hampden B team boys 35-29, Gardiner made it a 2-0 day with a 41-21 win over Lincoln, and Glenburn knocked off Lawrence 29-12.
