Michaud, Bergeron spark Hermon JV boys to victory

Saturday night at Hermon High School, Wyatt Michaud and Joel Bergeron scored in double digits to help guide the Hawks JV boys to a 53-43 victory over the Mattanawcook Academy Lynx of Lincoln.

Hermon broke open a 14-14 first quarter tie with a 16-9 second period to take a 30-23 lead at half time and never looked back.

Michaud scored a game high 18, and Bergeron added 13 points to lead the Hawks in scoring. Isaac Parent had eight points and Brendan Swoboda added five . Other scorers were Leonardo Bintabara, Matt Bailey, and Dawson Smith with two points each, and Adam Rush, Connor Patten, and Eduardo Bintabara with one point each.

Jackson Weatherbee led the Lynx in scoring with 14 points, and Kris Milner added nine points. Max Woodman, John Farrington, and Brady Pepin each scored five points, and Scott Dorn scored four. Cody Hanscom chipped in with one point.
