HAMPDEN – The Hampden Academy broncos hosted the Skowhegan Riverhawks in another close game, unfortunately for the Broncos, it was another 1-0 loss. The Broncos opened the season with a 1-0 loss to Skowhegan.

Hampden Falls to 6-3 with the loss while Skowhegan goes to 8-1 on the season.
S Carey got the win in the circle for the Riverhawks allowing just four singles and one walk with nine strikeouts in the shoutout.
Danielle Masterson was in the circle for Hampden where she took the 1-0 loss allowing just six hits and one walk. Masterson struck out 18 of the 21 outs in the game in the loss.
Hitting for Skowhegan was, J. Christopher, (single, double, rbi); A. Morris (single); E. Dunbar (double); and M. Morris (single, double, run).
For Hampden Academy, Callie Small, Allee Wellman, Meaghan Delahanty, and Cam Neal all had a single each.
Next up for Hampden is Lewiston on May 13 at 4 p.m. at Lewiston High School.
Skowhegan will play at Brewer on Saturday, May 14 at 2 p.m. On the campus of Brewer High School.
