BREWER - The Brewer JV boys took a 18-8 half time lead into the third quarter and turned up the heat with a 27-0 period to put the game away over the Hermon Hawks 52-19 at Brewer High School Thursday night. The Witches knocked down five 3-point baskets in the third period.

Brewer took a slim 7-4 first quarter lead, and scored 11 in the second period while holding Hermon to four points once again for the 18-8 half time lead.
Five of the teams six 3-point baskets came in the third quarter as Brewer held Hermon scoreless in the period to put the game away.
Charlie Brydges scored a game high 16 points and Steven Youngs added 11 points to top the Witches. Cayen Philbrook scored eight points, Cole Harriman added six, and Titus Philbrook scored four points. Kyle Horr had three points, and Cody Bailey and Jeriah Cherube each scored two.
Brewer had six 3-point baskets, three by Brydges, two by Harriman, and one from Horr. The Witches netted just 2-of-12 (17 percent) from the free throw line.
Bryan White scored seven points to pace Hermon, and Danny Fowler added four points. Colin Hamm, Ryan Hallett, Jackson McNally, and Carter Brocato each scored two points.
The Hawks had one 3-point basket by White, and they went 0-for-3 from the foul line.
