This was a very fast paced game that kept the skaters racing from one end of the rink to the other over and over with a goal a very rare ending to all the work put in.
The first period was scoreless as both teams goalies made some terrific saves to keep their team in the game.
In the second period the Windjammers finally found a hole in Brewer's keeper, Andrew Donald's protection of the goal. Camden's Owen McManus took a pass from Elias Libby and buried it in the opposite corner on a great shot for the 1-0 lead.
With the lead just 1-0 heading into the third period Camden looked like they were playing a little not to lose instead of playing to win. That brief lack of concentration cost the Windjammers when Brewer's Jed Gilpatrick took the puck to the goal and blasted it past Camden's keeper, Jackson Bernier 3:16 into the period to tie the score 1-1
Try as they might both teams had shots on goal the rest of the period but were unable to put the puck where it needed to go causing the eight minute sudden win overtime.
Camden Hills came out ready to get this one over as they controlled the puck for most of the 3:46 played in overtime until Jacob Johnson took a sweet pass from Libby and blew it past Gilpatrick for the 2-1 win.
Both teams gave it their all in this contest and they were very evenly matched on this day. They were fast, the passing was very good and the communication on the ice from both teams was the making a a superb game for the fans to watch.
CAMDEN 0 1 0 1 2
BREWER 0 0 1 0 1
