GLENBURN - The Glenburn middle school "B" level girls had to much talent and experience for the Samuel L. Wagner of Winterport Clippers to handle, as the Chargers rode an opening quarter shutout all the way to a 51-9 win on Wednesday night at the Glenburn School.

Glenburn opened the game with a 12-0 first quarter to set the tone of the contest, and they would go on to score in double digits over all four periods of the game. At the half time break, the Chargers had a 25-5 lead over the Clippers to put the game away.
All nine players on the Glenburn roster for the game scored in the overall team effort. Leading the way with double digit points was Kyle O'Connor with a game high 12 points and Abbie Folsom with 10 points, while Maddy Hessert added eight points and Mallory Lausier had five points. Lyla Smith, Eveylan Leveille, and Pepper Borg each scored four points. Kaylee Folsom and Lilliana Dana each chipped in with two points. The Chargers went 3-for-7 (43 percent) from the foul line.
Providing the scoring for Wagner was Mia Reid with four points, Avery Light with three points, and Addison Giles with two points. The Clippers went just 3-for-13 (23 percent) from the charity stripe.
