Hermon started the game at 10-0 and was about to play their eighth game in 11 days. But according to Hermon coach M.J. Ball, "At least we are playing, so no complaints". John Bapst started the season with two losses and a postponed match against Hermon. Today, they took a seven game win streak into the match-up. Both teams have been playing well and something had to give today.

The first 21 minutes and four seconds was trying to stop Sydney Gallop, who with a little help from her friends, scored three goals in 18 minutes and 54 seconds. Her first goal at 36:13 came on a pass from Allie Cameron to the middle that Gallop moved around her defender and buried on a blast to the left corner.

Gallop's second goal came at 29:58, again off a pass from Cameron. The last goal was at 21:04, again on a blast into the far right corner on a pass from Michaela Saulter to make it 3-0 Hermon.

That would be the only scoring of the game. The remainder of the first half and all of the second half were very evenly played with Hermon being able to crack the Crusaders defense a little more often for some shots but no scores. The Hermon backfield was on fire, not giving Bapst any time to set an attack and keeping their shots on goal total low. Much of the rest of the game was played very well by both teams in the middle half of the field.

Bella Bowden was in goal for the Hawks where she had three saves for the win. Ruby Dyer was in goal for the Crusaders and recorded three saves.

Hermon will travel to Old Town for their next match on Oct. 14. John Bapst will also travel the same day to take on Ellsworth.
