BREWER - The Hampden 7th-8th grade "A" team boys, sitting on top of the Eastern Maine Basketball League (EMBBL) 12 team division standings, continued to remain undefeated as they cruised to a 71-13 victory over Brewer on Sunday morning at Brewer High School.

Hampden, with a definite size advantage, put the game away early as they out scored Brewer 43-4 in the first half. Zuby Toms led the Broncos with 14 points in the half.
The Broncos would top the Witches 28-9 over the second half, as Spencer Martin would lead the way with 10 points for Hampden.
Toms and Martin each scored a game high 16 points to pace the Broncos in scoring. Miles Shain added 12 points and Mason Studley scored 11 to round out the double digit scoring for Hampden. Also scoring for the Broncos was Liam Henaghen with eight points, and both Josh Sirois and Owen Busic had four points.
Hampden had three 3-point baskets, two by Shain and one from Studley, and they went 8-for-10 (80 percent) from the free throw line.
Providing the scoring for Brewer was Oliver Higgins with four points, Cody Hews and Jack Robertson with three points each, James Seymour with two points, and Ayden Barnard chipped in with one point.
The Witches had one 3-point basket by Robertson, and they shot just 2-for-6 (33 percent) from behind the charity stripe.
