EMBBL: Hermon 7-8th A Boys power past Old Town/Orono

OLD TOWN – The Riots of Old Town/Orono YMCA hosted the Hermon Hawks Saturday morning in an Eastern Maine Basketball League match up. The game started out pretty evenly until the Hawks started to click and it was play catch up the rest of the way for the Riots as they fall 56-31 to Hermon.

Sometimes just when you think you have a good shot the defense comes out of nowhere with a big stuff! It's part of the game. Good work by Hermon's Conner Kelley. (Photo by Ron Hawkes)

By the end of the first half the Hawks were up 29-18 and finished with a solid win over a good Old Town/Orono team.

Passing was the key to the Hermon game as the boys ran the floor well and made some very sweet passes to help boost the score. Offensively the Hawks had three players in double figures.

Scoring for Hermon was Mason Kinney with 14 points; Wesley Bragg 12; Carter Wiggin 11; Tyler Corson Nine; Gavin Kealiher six; and Cam Morrison and Chase Jensen with two each.

For the Riots, First names were not provided, M. Allen tallied a game high 15 points; W. Crouse six; K. Bagley four; and D. Forbes, R. Watson, and W. Chandler added two each.
