OLD TOWN – Travel Basketball took us to the Old Town Orono YMCA for a 9 a.m. game between the Bangor 7-8th A girls team and the Old Town/Orono girls. This game changed leads multiple times throughout the game and right down to the last 30 seconds when Bangor took a 40-39 lead and was able to hold off the opponent for the win.

The games are two 15-minute halves with Bangor taking a 28-26 lead in the first half and Old Town/Orono out scoring Bangor 13-12 but falling just short of forcing at least an overtime.
This was a very well played game by two very talented teams that each played their hearts out and left it all on the floor.
Unfortunately, I was unable to get any last names as neither book had them. Scoring for Bangor were, Delaney with 14 points; Avery 10; Lyndsie seven; Claire four; Carly three; and Kylyn two.
For Old Town/Orono, Reagan had 13 points; Karly nine; Taylor eight; Riley seven; and Lucy 2.
