Both teams got off to a very slow start with a 6-6 tie at the end of the first quarter. However, the Hawks put it in second gear in the second quarter and outscored the Eagles 17-9 to take a 23-15 lead into the halftime break. After breaking it open in the third, Hermon put it away in the final stanza for the lopsided win.
Hermon was trailing 6-3 in the first quarter when Char Caron nailed a long 3-pointer at the buzzer to tie the score. Paige Plissey led the attack for Hermon in the second quarter with eight of her game-high 15 points on the day.
Scoring in the game for Hermon was Plissey with 15 points; Megan Tracy nine; Caron eight; Maddie Lebel six; Allie Cameron five; Grace Page three; and Elizabeth Wyman and Sadie Campbell two each.

The Eagles were 8-of-17 (47 percent) from behind the charity stripe. They knocked down two 3-point baskets, one each from Clifford and Montigny.
The win moves Hermon to 15-1 with two games left to play. Monday, Feb. 3 they will host MDI and finish the season at home hosting John Bapst Wednesday, Feb. 5. Hermon currently sits in third place in Class B Noth Heal point standings. Presque Isle is in first at 14-3. The top 12 teams make it to the postseason.
