Brewer JV boys roll past visiting Lawrence

BREWER – The Brewer junior varsity boys basketball team was on fire Friday night as they rolled past Lawrence of Fairfield outscoring the visitors every quarter on the way to a solid 67-47 victory.

The Witches started out strong and never let up taking a 19-15 first-quarter lead and building that to a 31-22 halftime break. The third quarter was more Brewer as they take a 53-37 advantage into the last quarter where they rolled to the win.


Scoring for the Witches was Brock Flagg with 13 points, all in the third quarter; Ryder Goodwin 12; Evan Glass 11; Evan Nadeau 10; Kenox Cummings and Cam Hughes eight each; Ryan Young three; and Josh Seymour two.

Brewer was 20-of-26 (77 percent) from the foul line. They had three 3-pointers, one each from Glass, Cummings, and Flagg.

For the Bulldogs, Andrew Trombley had 11 points; Noah Lambert 10; Matt Trombley eight; Braden Alley six; Cade Scott and Conner Nutting four each; Storer Boyden three; and Tyler Quirion one.

Lawrence was 9-of-13 (69 percent) from the charity stripe. They had four 3-pointers, two from A. Trombley and one each from Nutting and Boyden.
