Brewer, Bangor skate to a 2-2 tie

BREWER – The Brewer JV ice hockey team hosted the Bangor team at the Penobscot Ice Arena Saturday evening where the two teams played to a 2-2 tie

After a well-played first period with no score, the Witches took a 2-1 lead in the second period, and Bangor tied it in the third period with their second goal.

Brewer's Hunter Higgins took a pass from Ethan Delmonaco at 4:14 into the second period for the first goal.

Bangor answered a minute later when Cole Neale scored with assists from Cam Lagassie and Josh Ryan.

The Witches ended the scoring in the second period with a goal from Josh Lockhart with a little help from Owen Spaulding and Higgins with the assists.

In the third period with just 5:28 left in the game, Bangor tied the score with a goal from Lagassie on assists from Mike McLean and Neale.

Bangor had just one penalty in the game for two minutes in the box. Brewer was handed three penalties, all two-minute for a six-minute total.

Evan White was in goal for Brewer and Liam Doughty worked in goal for Bangor. The shots on goal and saves were not recorded on the score sheet. Both keepers worked hard and each had a number of saves to keep their teams in the game.
