Bangor, Hermon girls soccer play to 3-3 tie in preseason action

The Hermon Hawks girls soccer hosted the Bangor Rams Friday morning in a game originally scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 29 and postponed due to heavy rain.

The Rams dominated field play the first half, however, they fell behind 1-0 early. The Rams rebounded and took a 2-1 lead into the second half.

Hermon took over possession to open the second half and took a 3-2 lead on a couple of quick goals. Again, the Rams fought back and with 3:42 to go in the game the Rams tied the score at 3-3. Neither team had any real scoring opportunities after the score was tied.

Well played preseason game with lots of effort from everyone.

Bangor opens the season against Class A state champion Camden Hills Thursday, Sept. 5, at Bangor High School.

Hermon will open on the road Saturday, Sept. 7 at Foxcroft Academy in Dover Foxcroft.
