GLENBURN - The 2019 softball State Tournament kicked off with a bang Sunday afternoon in Glenburn, as Windham (District 6) overpowered Medomak (District 2) 9-0 behind a Perfect Game pitching performance from Kennedy Kimball. Windham will play again Thursday at 3:30 p.m. against District 3 representative Hermon.
Kimball over powered the Medomak hitters, striking out the first 14 batters she faced until Medomak's Madison Boynton was thrown out at first base after a bunt attempt to end the fifth inning. Kimball then struck out the side in the sixth inning, giving her 17 for the game and the win.

Offensively, Stella Jarvais led Windham with a double, two singles, and three runs batted in. Kimball, Lydia Marden, and Chloe Edwards (2 hits) each had an RBI single. Caitlyn Marsh and Oakley McLeod each chipped in with a base hit.
