Hews, Haggerty spark Glenburn 3/4 boys come from behind win

GLENBURN - Sunday morning at the Glenburn School, the Glenburn Chargers 3/4 boys rallied back from a 9-point half time deficit to pull out a 37-32 Eastern Maine Basketball League travel game over Ellsworth.

Ellsworth opened the game on an 8-0 run, and took a 12-4 first quarter lead, and held a 20-11 lead at the half time break.

The Eagles had no answers for the Chargers over the second half, as Brady Hews and Colby Haggerty combined for 24 points to help out score Ellsworth 26-12 and overcome the first half deficit for the win.

Hews scored a game high 23 points and Haggerty added 12 second points. Jacob Murzyn chipped in for two points.

Ellsworth was led in scoring by Dawson Curtis with 12 points and Logan Crowley with eight points. Alex McGowan and Brennick Parks each scored four points, and both Calvin Carter and Cooper Mitchell scored two points.
