Strong finish from Brewer Frosh downs Camden Hills boys

ROCKPORT – The Camden Hills boys basketball program hosted Brewer Tuesday night with the freshmen opening the three-game evening with Brewer taking a  54-47 win.

The two teams battled back and forth throughout the first three-quarters with Camden Hills taking a 14-10 first-quarter lead only to have Brewer come back and take a 29-25 lead into the half. By the end of the third, it was Brewer 40, Camden Hills 39.

In the fourth quarter, Levi Williamson and Season Neal had six points each to lead the Witches to a 14-8 scoring in the quarter and the win.

Scoring for Brewer was, Season Heal with a game-high 31 points; Williamson eight; Cody Jones six; Trevor Pearson and Ethan Hesseltine four each; and Justin Nutter one.

Brewer was 8-of-14 from behind the charity stripe.

For Camden Hills, Sam Hanson had 14 points; Josh Pearse 13; Ethan Berdeja eight; Joby Bird six; and Zephyr Bombeke, Jacob Knowlton, and Hunter Hoppe two each.

The Windjammers were 6-of-10 from the foul line and they had seven 3-pointers, four from Hanson, and three from Pearse.
