McGreevy powers and pitches Windjammers to a 16-0 win

Charlotte McGreevy drove in four runs on a pair of hits to lead Camden Hills past Messalonskee of Oakland 16-0 on Friday, May 1. 

McGreevy singled in the third inning, scoring two runs, and tripled in the fourth inning, scoring two.

McGreevy also earned the win for Windjammers in the circle. The righty allowed two hits and three walks and no runs over five innings, striking out eight. 

S. Kingsbury took the loss for Messalonskee. The left-hander went three innings, giving up eight runs (six earned) on five hits, striking out five and walking five.

Camden Hills scored one run in the second to start the scoring. The Windjammers erupted for seven runs in the third inning and six more in the fourth inning to put the game away for the mercy rule win.

Hitting for the Windjammers were, Thea Laukka (single, 2 runs), McGreevy (triple, single, 2 runs), Adriana Pedro (single, run), Karly Putansu (single, 3 runs), Evangelene Morneau (single, 3 runs), Grace Fenton (single, 2 runs); Molly O’Dwyer (single, run), Isabelle Minery (run), and Carly Fitzpatrick single, run).

Kingsbury led Messalonskee with a double and a single, the only two hits for the Eagles.

Camden Hills welcomes Lincoln Academy on Monday, May 4, for their next game.
