Windjammer softball falls at home to Oxford Hills


Trailing 6-1, the Windjammers scored four runs in the seventh to make it a game, but fell short by a run to end the game.

Charlotte McGreevy toed the rubber for Camden Hills, allowing 10 hits, six runs, five earned, walking three, and striking out five in the loss.

K.Morse and P.Cleveland combined to allow five hits and five runs, only three earned. They also walked five and struck out 11.

Samantha McPhail went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Vikings. Attie Campbell, L Morse, and Truman all had 2 hits.

For the Windjammers, McGreevy went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBI. Thea Laukka also had a pair of hits. Maya Stone had a hit and two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting five walks for the game.

Camden Hills welcomes Oceanside on Monday for their next game at 4:30pm.
