Camden Hills Varsity Windjammers Defeat Bangor Varsity Rams On Dominant Performance From Maya Stone

Maya Stone threw a shutout to lead Camden Hills Varsity Windjammers past Bangor Varsity Rams 8-0 on Tuesday at 885 Broadway.

Camden Hills Varsity Windjammers opened the scoring in the second after an error scored two runs.

Camden Hills Varsity Windjammers added to their early lead in the top of the third inning when Stone hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run; Adriana Pedro singled, scoring two runs, and a passed ball scored one run.

Emma Tripp took the loss for Bangor Varsity Rams. The starting pitcher went three innings, surrendering six runs (two earned) on two hits, striking out none and walking two.

Pedro and Stone were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Camden Hills Varsity Windjammers. Thea Laukka, Charlotte McGreevy, Pedro, and Stone each collected one hit for Camden Hills Varsity Windjammers. Camden Hills Varsity Windjammers turned one double play in the game.

Annabelle Pierce led the Bangor Varsity Rams with one hit in three at-bats.

Camden Hills Varsity Windjammers welcome Oxford Hills Varsity Vikings on Friday for their next game.
