The Camden Hills Varsity softball opened its 2026 season with an 8-0 win over the Bangor Rams.
Maya Stone was in the circle for the Windjammers, where she threw seven innings, allowing one hit with one walk and nine strikeouts.
Camden scored two runs in the second, four in the third, and two in the sixth.
Emma Tripp took the loss for Bangor. The starting pitcher went three innings, surrendering six runs (two earned) on two hits, striking out none and walking two. Kaylee Folsom finished the game going four innings, allowing two unearned runs on two hits and two walks while striking out three.
Annabelle Pierce had the lone hit for Bangor.
Camden was led at the plate by Thea Laukka, Charlotte McGreevy, Pedro, and Stone, each posting one hit apiece for Camden.
Camden Hills will face Oxford Hills on Friday, April 24. The Rams will host Lewiston on Saturday afternoon, the 25th.
