It was Glenburn who looked like maybe an upset was in the making when they came out in the opening quarter and took a 14-13 lead at the buzzer, with Brady Hews and Colby Haggerty combining for nine of the Chargers points in the quarter. That would be the primary highlight for Glenburn, as things fell apart over the next two periods.

The second quarter was all Caravel, as Thomas Meserve, Connor Kelly, and Carter Wiggin combined to score 18 of the Bobcats 20 points in the period. The defense held Glenburn to just six points in the quarter, giving Caravel a 33-20 lead heading into the half time break.

The third period was very similar to the second quarter, as Wesley Bragg, Wiggin, and Meserve would combine for 17 of the Bobcats 20 points in the period while the defense once again held the Glenburn offense to single digit (9) scoring. As the two teams headed into the final stanza, the Bobcats held a dominating 53-29 lead over the Chargers.

Glenburn, like the opening quarter, was able to win the final period 18-17 but the deficit margin was more than they were capable of making up.

Meserve had a game high 18 points to pace Caravel, and was joined in double digits by Wiggin with 16, Bragg with 15, and Kelly with 10 points. Gavin Kealiher added five points, Ethan James had four points, and Corey Alves chipped in with two points.

Caravel had one 3-point basket by Bragg, and they went 9-for-15 (60 percent) from the charity stripe.

Hews had a team high 17 points to lead the Chargers in scoring. Nolan Coon added nine points and Haggerty had eight points. Kohen Corriveau scored four points, while Zach Babcock, Landen Corriveau, and Lucas Hernandez all had three points each.

Glenburn had five long range baskets, two from Hews and one each by Landen Corriveau, Hernandez, and Haggerty. They shot 5-of-13 (38 percent) from the free throw line.
