HAMPDEN – The Hampden girls basketball program hosted Edward Little in their home opener against Edward Little of Auburn. The junior varsity opened the night with a 57-21 win over the Red Eddies.

The Broncos led at the end of each quarter, 18-6 after one, 30-12 at the half and 45-15 heading into the final stanza where the Broncos easily put the game away.
Scoring for Hampden were, Caitlin Murphy had a game high 21 points; Logan Daigle, and Kennedy Fortin had nine each; Sadie Campbell seven; Marina Hooper six; Ella Carsile and Destiny Moores two each; and Josie Smith one.
The Broncos were 8-of-13 (62 percent) from the foul line and they had one 3-point basket from Campbell.
For Edward Little, no first names were provided, Theriault had six; Vellieux five; Vincint and Ross three each; Kelsea and Urquart had two each.
Edward Little was 1-of-2 (50 percent) from the charity stripe and they had two 3-point baskets, one each from Vincent and Ross.
