Bronco 3rd/4th grade to much for Glenburn in EMBBL travel basketball action

GLENBURN - The Broncos Isaac Madden, Asher Coffey, and Jaxson McAlpine each scored in double digits as the Hampden 3rd/4th grade boys defeated the host team Glenburn 51-24 in an Eastern Maine Basketball League travel game at the Glenburn School Saturday morning.

Hampden jumped out to a 10-4 first quarter lead, but after a 16-6 second quarter the Broncos held a 26-10 lead at the half time break. The Broncos continued to add to their lead with a 12-3 third period score to take a dominating 38-13 lead into the final eight minutes. Glenburn had their best eight minutes of the game in the final quarter as they scored in double digits for the first time in the game.

Madden scored a game high 17 points to pace the Broncos, while Coffey added 16 points and McAlpine 10 points. Also scoring for Hampden was Wyatt Binn with four points and both Eli Longoria and David Kane with two points each.

Caleb Campbell scored nine points and Brody Saucier had eight points to lead the Chargers in scoring. Other scorers included Peyton Nash with three points, Jace Holloway with two, and Cisco Santiago also with two points.
