BANGOR – The Bangor girls soccer team hosted Mt. Blue of Farmington Friday night at Cameron Stadium for Senior Night for the five graduating players who have spent their high school careers helping to make this years team the powerhouse they are. Bangor had to come from behind to pull out the 2-1 win over a very disciplined team.

Graduating this spring and playing their last regular season home game were Devon St. Louis, Julia Smallwood, Rachel Mathieu, McKayla Kendall and Hannah Sherood.
Mt. Blue came into the game 8-3-1 on the season and showed why early in the game at 29:57 when they jumped out in front 1-0 on a nice goal from Alissa Butterfield.
After some attempts and some opportunities not taken by both teams, Bangor's Ani Roberts came in of the bench and promptly scored a goal with 8:18 left in the first half on a long kick that Cougars keeper Caitlin Burke had no chance to stop as it sailed just under the upper bar in the left corner of the net for the 1-1 score.

The second half of this match started just the opposite of the first with Bangor's Devon St. Louis scoring less than five minutes in to the half at 35:35 to give Bangor the 2-1 lead it would not relinquish again.
Ten minutes later St. Louis struck again on an amazing flick as she ran past the ball in front of the goal. The goal was, however, called off for offsides.
The rest of the game was well played defensively by both teams as each team had limited shots on goal in the second half.
Bangor goes to 13-0-0 on the season and will play it's final regular season game on Tuesday, Oct. 19, at 7p.m. at Hampden Academy.
