Hermon 3/4 Walker falls to Lincoln in youth football action

HERMON - Sunday afternoon at the Hermon Recreation fields, the Hermon 3rd/4th grade Walker team fell to a bigger and stronger Lincoln team 24-7 in a youth football contest.

Lincoln managed to score one touchdown in all four quarters of the game. The first score came just 2:29 into the opening quarter. They would score again with just 18.3 seconds remaining in the second quarter to take a 12-0 lead into the half time break.

Lincoln would score again in the third period to increase their lead to 18-0 heading into the final period of play. Hermon would finally get on the board  deep into the fourth quarter when Jordan Lancaster broke free and scampered some 70 yards down the right sideline for a touchdown with 5:20 left to play in the game. Thomas Tracy converted the extra point as the Hawks put seven points on the board.

Lincoln answered the Hermon touchdown with one of their own less than a minute later to close out the scoring  for the game.
