Harriman took a through ball from Skehan and scored an insurance goal for Bapst with 10:58 to play in the half for a 3-1 lead. The score remained 3-1 through the rest of the opening half.

The Mustangs Arianna Allen closed the Bapst lead to 3-2 with 27:02 remaining in the second half, but Bapst responded with a goal from Harriman with 17:27 to play for a 4-2 lead.

Mt. View had an opportunity to make it a one goal game with a penalty kick, but the Crusaders Hannah Day came up with a huge save to preserve the 4-2 lead. The Mustangs made good on another penalty kick with 1:06 left in game when Hannah Coolen drilled the ball to the right of Bapst keeper Day for a 4-3 game, but the Crusaders were able to run out the clock for the win.

Mt. View goalkeeper Zoe Mayhew had 10 saves on 15 John Bapst shots. Day made 16 saves for the Crusaders on 21 shots by the Mustangs.
John Bapst had 11 corners in the game, to four corners by Mt. View.
The Crusaders will host Belfast on Wednesday, September 25 at 3:15 p.m. in their next game. Mt. View will host Medomak Valley on Tuesday, September 24 at 3:30 p.m.
