Maine Sports Report basketball tournament coverage

ROCKLAND - BANGOR - Both Maine Sports Report - Bangor and MSR-Midcoast are pleased to announce the basketball tournaments we will be covering during March Madness Month.

Young boys and girls from around the state will be tipping off in hoop action all weekend long. MSR will be covering two tournaments this weekend. (Image by Ron Hawkes)

We are happy to be able to provide coverage for your tournament and fans.

Here are the dates we are looking at if you have a tournament and are looking for photographic coverage give one of us a call or send an email or Facebook message.

Bangor Area
March 3-4 - 3rd-4th-Grade Boys - Glenburn Rec held at the Glenburn Elementary School. Tournaments are 8-team with 2-games of pool play for each team on Saturday, one more pool play game per team Sunday morning, then single elimination games for top 2 teams in each Pool followed by the championship game at 4:45 pm

March 10-11 - 5th-6th-Grade Boys - Glenburn Rec. held at the Glenburn Elementary School. tournaments are 8-team with 2-games of pool play for each team on Saturday, one more pool play game per team Sunday morning, then single elimination games for top 2 teams in each Pool followed by the championship game at 4:45 pm

Midcoast Area
March 3-5 - 5th-6th-Grade Boys - Flanagan Community Center (Formerly Rockland Rec.) Eight teams, Rockland, R&D Thrashers, Five Town Basketball, Belfast “Blue and Belfast “White”, Broad Cove Bucs, Medomak Valley and Lisbon Greyhounds. This is a double elimination tournament including the championship game. See included schedule.

Look for this inside your program from the Flanagan Community Center this weekend.

March 16-17 - 3rd-4th-Grade Boys and Girls - Mussel Ridge held at the St. George School in Tenants Harbor.
