Camden Hills JV strong second half produces the win over Erskine Academy

ROCKPORT – The Camden Hills JV boys basketball team got off to a slow start but put it all behind them at the halftime break and came out to dominate the rest of the game for the 64-42 win over Erskine Academy.

Camden Hills held a 12-10 advantage after the first quarter, but Erskine held the Windjammers to five points in the second quarter to take a 26-17 lead into the halftime.  The third quarter saw Camden Hills take over the game, outscoring Erskine 27-14 to take a 44-40 lead into the fourth quarter where the Windjammers held the Eagles to two points while dumping in 20 for the win.

Scoring for Camden Hills was Jeremy Fraser with 18 points; Jon Runnion-Bareford 15; Kerry Sabanty 10; Joshua Pearse nine; Obie Miller five; Matt Nickerson four; and Casey Messer three. Camden Hills was 5-of-9 (56 percent) from the foul line.

For Erskine Academy, Dagan Savage had 13 points; Osiris Marable nine; Nick Hayden seven; Nick Barker five; Mitch Reynolds and Matt Stultz three each; and Nick Howard two. Erskine Academy was 6-of-13 (46 percent) from the foul line.
