Bangor, Biddeford open Little League 11-12 State Softball Championship tournament with wins

ROCKPORT – The Little League State Softball Championship Tournament opened Friday with District 3 Bangor and District 4 Biddeford picking up lop-sided wins.

In the tournament opener, Biddeford outscored District 1, Acadia 21-3 in a mercy rule four-inning game.

In the second game the tournament host, Five Town Little League, fell to District 3 Bangor 14-1 in a four-inning mercy rule game.

Saturday, July 8
GM3 8:30 am Biddeford vs District 6

GM4 10:45 am Acadia vs Five Town (Loser is Eliminated)

1:30 pm Opening Ceremonies

GM5 2:30 pm Bangor Vs Winner GM3

GM6 5:00 pm Winner GM4 Vs Loser GM3 (Loser is Eliminated)

Sunday, July 9
GM7 12:30 pm Loser GM5 Vs Winner GM6 (Loser is Eliminated)

Monday, July 10
GM8 10:00 am Winner GM5 Vs Winner GM7 (Championship Game)

GM9 1:00 pm Winner GM8 Vs Loser GM8  (If Necessary Game)

All games are at Marge Jones Field on Route 90 in Rockport. Plenty of parking, dogs are welcome on a leash, so please clean up. Concession stand with meals and snacks available!! Please support Five Town Little League.
