Troy Howard battles back to defeat Oceanside in extra innings

ROCKLAND – The Oceanside 8th grade boys baseball team had to be thinking their season would never get started this year with teams not able to field teams and the weather.

That all changed Thursday as Troy Howard came to visit and the game took 11 innings to decide when Troy Howard finally picked up the 10-8 win.

Oceanside took a 6-1 lead before the Lions got back in the game and tied the game at 8-8 with two outs in the seventh on a Matt Spear double to force the extra innings.
