Mid-Coast Babe Ruth League opens 2017 season

The Mid-Coast Babe Ruth League, which consists of eight teams from Belfast to Damariscotta, opened the 2017 season Sunday.

Babe Ruth baseball is for players aged 13-15 years old and started the season May 21 and ends the league play and league playoffs July 5. All-Stars start a new season July 7 for District playoff and the Babe Ruth State Championship conclude on July 16 as long as Mother Nature plays nice.
