ROCKPORT – The Camden Hills junior varsity girls played well, however, the Lawrence girls on the strength of a big third-quarter took home a 49-30 win that was a better game than the score would indicate.

Lawrence led 11-7 after the first quarter and 18-14 at the half. Outscoring Camden 17-4 the Bulldogs built a solid 35-18 lead heading into the final quarter where the Windjammers could not come back from.
Scoring for Lawrence was Megan Curtis with 11 points; Savannah Weston 10; Miranda Lambert and Lydia Townsend seven each; Olivia Gray five; Haley Holt four; Eva Brisk and Hannah Dow to each; and Kristen Gordon one.
The Bulldogs were 4-of-11 (36 percent) from the foul line and they had five 3-pointers, three from Curtis and one each from Weston and Townsend.

For Camden Hills, Mya Wiley had 11 points; Audrey Bowman nine; Kaylyn Krul five; Nicole Brown four; and Kesha Lane one. Camden was 12-of-23 (52 percent) from the foul line. Wiley had two 3-pointers for the Windjammers.
