Oceanside JV girls sail past Lincoln Academy

ROCKLAND – The Oceanside junior varsity girls basketball team hosted Lincoln Academy Thursday coming from behind at the half to take a 37-27 win.

The Eagles took an 11-7 first quarter lead and held an 18-13 lead at the half. Oceanside outscored Lincoln Academy 12-4 in the third quarter to take a 25-22 lead into the final quarter where the Mariners extended the lead for the win.

Scoring for Oceanside was, Sara Dorr and Kassidy Robinson with nine points each; Anna Poisson seven; Molly Gould four; Hannah Benner and Kalli Grover three each; and Alexis Rytky two.

The Mariners were 9-of-20 (65 percent) from the foul line.

For Lincoln Academy, Khloe Polan had nine points; Ellie Mathews seven; Maisy O'Brien five; Rachel Naylor four; and Belle Sawyer two.

The Eagles were 3-of-7 (43 percent) from the foul line and the had two 3-pointers, one each from Mathews and O'Brien.
