Oceanside freshmen boys roll past Camden Hills

ROCKPORT  – The Camden Hills boys hosted Oceanside Saturday in some afternoon action with the freshmen opening up the three games.

It was a battle, but the Oceanside boys played strong all the way putting the game way in the fourth quarter outscoring Camden 13-6 for the 44-31 win.

Camden led 15-13 after one quarter and 21-17 at the half. The second half was all Oceanside as they took a 31-25 lead into the final stanza.

Scoring for Oceanside was, Dustin Cote had 14 points; Nick Jones 13; Jacob Curtis 12; and Harley Porter and Casey Campbell four each.

The Mariners were 5-of-12 (42 percent) from the foul line and they had five 3-pointers, three from Jones and two from Cote.

For Camden Hills, Sam Hanson had 10 points; Hunter Hope eight; Josh Pearse seven; and Drew Minery, Zephyr Bombeke, and Ethan Berdeja two each.

The Windjammers were 2-of-8 (25 percent) from the foul line. Pearse had their lone 3-pointer.
