ROCKLAND – The Oceanside junior varsity girls hosted rival Camden Hills to the house Saturday where the visitors took a close well played game 40-37.

Camden Hills and Oceanside played to an 11-11 tie in the first quarter and the Windjammers took a 22-19 advantage into the halftime. At the end of three-quarters, it was anyone's game as Camden held the 32-31 lead heading into the final stanza. Camden was able to hold off the Mariners to take the three point win over the hosts.

Scoring for Camden Hills was, Mya Wiley with a game-high 15 points; Kaylyn Krul eight; Audrey Bowman seven; Nicole Brown six; and Ayla Curit and Chelsea Field two each.
The Windjammers were 9-of-17 (53percent) from the foul line. They had three 3-pointers, all from Wiley.
For Oceanside, Sara Dorr had a team-high 12 points; Hannah Benner seven; Kassidy Robinson six; Alexis Rytky and Anna Poisson four each; and Kalli Grover and Molly Gould two each.
The Mariners were 0-of-4 from the foul line and they had one 3-pointer from Benner.
