ROCKPORT – The Camden Hills girls hosted Oceanside Saturday with the junior varsity girls playing the first game, and an exciting game it was right down to the final horn as Oceanside took the 45-41 win over the host Jammers.

This was a close game all the way with many ties and lead changes starting with the first quarter where Camden Hills took an 11-7 lead only to have the Mariners fight back and tie the score at 20-20 at the half. By the end of the third quarter, Oceanside had a slim 2-point lead 32-30 as they headed into the final stanza. Oceanside was able to play some spirited defense and also outscored Camden 13-11 for the 45-41 win.
Scoring for Oceanside was, Sara Dorr with 12 points; Kalli Grover, Anna Poisson, and Kassidy Robinson eight each; Chloe Jones six; andMolly Gould three.
Oceanside was 6-of-16 (38 percent) from the foul line and they had one 3-pointer from Grover.

Dorr and Robinson dominated the board for Oceanside giving the visitors more than one shot many times as well as limiting Camden to one shot.
For Camden Hills, Mya Wiley had a game-high 17 points; Nicole Brown nine; Audrey Bowman six; Maggie Maxwell five; and Kaylyn Krul four.
Camden was 2-of-6 (33 percent) from the charity stripe. They had five 3-pointers, all from Wiley who was red hot from behind the arc.
