Camden Hills fights off a determined Belfast

The Class A Camden Hills boys varsity hosted Class B Belfast in the second game of the evening completing the sweep with a 75-68 win over the visiting Lions.

Camden Hills goes to 2-5 with the win while Belfast drops to 3-4.

There were 13 lead changes in this game with six tie scores. That kept the largest lead down to eight points in the game.

Camden Hills took a 12-5 first quarter lead, however at the end of the second Belfast was up 25-24. The two teams played a tough third quarter with Belfast taking a 48-46 lead into the final quarter of play. Camden Hills took a 52-50 lead at 6:08 in the fourth quarter they would never lose.

Scoring for Belfast was Stan Sturgis (22 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, steal), Nolan Woods (19 points, 4 rebounds), Zane Bielenberg (13 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals),  Garrett Hamlin (5 points, 9 rebounds, assist). Also, scoring was Ian Snowdeal with four points; Tristan Roberts three; and Dakota Doolan two.

The Lions were 12-of-15 (80 percent) from the foul line and they knocked down six baskets from behind the arc, four from Woods and two from Sturgis.
