Waterville girls upend Windjammers in season opener

The Camden Hills girls basketball team, under the direction of new head coach Kim Kuhn, hosted the Purple Panthers of Waterville to open the 2016-17 season falling 46-44 to the visitors.

The game was back and forth throughout the contest. The Windjammers took the 2-0 lead after losing the jump ball when freshman Kris Kelly stole the ball at midcourt and drove to the basket for a left-handed layup for the first basket of her high school career.
