Oceanside 8th grade girls take on powerful Boothbay

The Oceanside 8th grade girls hosted Boothbay Wednesday in Thomaston for a Busline League matchup falling in a close game 40-35

Oceanside took a 12-8 first quarter lead, but Boothbay came back to take the 19-17 halftime lead. By the end of the third quarter, it was still anyone's game with Boothbay up 28-25 heading into the final stanza where they held on for the win.

Scoring for Oceanside was, Grace Woodman with 13 points; Jessica Watkinson nine; Katherine Freeman seven; Sadie Street three; Lydia Ross two; and Olivia Doughtery one.

For Boothbay, Glory Blethen led all scorers with 23 points; Haley Abbot seven; Jaelyn Crocker six; and Rachel Gentry four.
