Waterville’s strong net play leads to win over Oceanside

ROCKLAND – The Oceanside girls tennis team hosted Waterville Friday in the third day in a row of matches.

The Purple Panthers took home a 4-1 win.

Individual results with Oceanside players listed first are, in singles, Gabby Simmons lost to Samantha Saulter 0-6 0-6; Molly Davis lost to Maggie Brock 2-6 0-6; and Cassidy Boynton lost to Clio Bazakas 3-6 2-6.

In doubles, Emma Lee and Jasmine Bouchard defeated Sophie Weston and Makenzie St. Pierre 4-6, 6-0, 6-2; and Erin Dugan and Meredith Mitchell defeated Lauren Smith and Hannah Bouchard 3-6 2-6.

Oceanside will host Gardiner Monday, May 15 for their next match.
